DSW Homes Helps Rebuild Texas Communities After Natural Disaster

DSW Homes, LLC, owned and operated by Texas residents, specializes in disaster relief, rehabilitation and new home construction.

We cumulatively offer more than 100 years of experience in building affordable, quality homes in the scattered lot home-building industry. To meet the disaster recovery needs of the Coastal Regions of Texas, DSW Homes was established in October of 2009. DSW Homes is capable of developing over 1,000 homes per year, covering areas from Dallas to the Lower Rio Grande Valley, including the Beaumont and Galveston regions.

We are licensed to build in 9 states throughout the Southeast and have extensive experience building in Texas, specifically along the Texas Coastal areas.  As specific needs are identified, DSW Homes has the ability to quickly mobilize and set-up our operations to accommodate the needs in other geographic areas.

DSW Homes has successfully completed over 1000 rehabilitation and reconstruction projects totaling over $77 million. Each project was completed on time and within budget with an overage build-out time of less than 60 days. These projects were scattered throughout over 25 counties in Texas.

Listen to some of our testimonials...
"The workers did a great job building my home for me and my family. We can`t wait to move back into the house and make it ours home once again. The job was quick and we really enjoyed watch-ing the process of the house being built. I would definitely recommend this company and these workers to anyone. Thanks a lot to DSW HOMES."
Sincerely, Mary C. Wilson & Family

We need to have more stories like this one

One of DSW Home's owners, Steve Mataro, played the part of "hero" when he rescued a drowning man. Mataro's neighbor was entertaining a couple from Houston when one of his guests, an older gentleman, got too close to the edge of the dock and fell into the canal. The older gentleman tried desperately to pull himself out of the water by using the ladder to the dock, but the ladder had broken in half some time ago.

Mataro was outside in his backyard with his family across the canal when the incident happened. When Mataro saw what was happening, he ran to his paddle boat and paddled furiously toward the old man. When he got close he jumped into the water, in a full suit never mind, and grabbed the guest by the back of the legs and squat pressed him onto the dock. While doing so his legs sunk about six inches in the mud and he had to pull his own legs out, having to part with both of his dress shoes, barely making it to the surface before running out of air. After checking to make sure everyone else was ok, he gave them his signature "thumbs up" and headed back across the canal.

The editor ended the story by saying. "Although it may seem like it, this really wasn't a story so much about Steve as it was about a neighbor helping another neighbor, coming to the neighbor's rescue so to speak, in a time of need."

DSW Honored By Area Boy Scouts

DSW Homes was honored by the Boy Scouts with its Guardian Donor Award. They were heavily involved with "Camp Karankawa" by helping to complete 10 of the bathrooms for the camp, a savings of around $75,000. Steve Matero who received the award said, "...it was a wonderful opportunity for us to give back to the youth of America and have a lot of fun. DSW Homes has 32 employees and 15 of them are Eagle Scouts, so this one was extra dear to our hearts."

"In Less Than a Month"

DSW is proud to say that we had a productive month. What did we do? We worked hard to get 50 families back into their homes or into new homes. We are proud to say that we are Galveston and Beaumont's Fastest Builder. We don't cut corners, we just follow a "DSW Building System" that we have perfected for over 20 years. DSW just makes sure things happen on "Every Home, Every Day".

Here's the proof, We started this custom home in Lafitte's Cove and drywall will be hung "In Less Than a Month".
